Candy--
With your little one taking an interest in blind cords, you should know that
many animals and young children have strangled themselves in them, either by
getting wound up or by getting caught in one of the loops at the end. If
you cut off the plastic clasp at the end and braid anything that doesn't
have to be retracted it is MUCH safer. Or the strings can be wrapped around
a wall bracket, anything to keep them from dangling. Manufacturers can also
recommend safety measures.
