To shelters out there who are overflowing:

Last i checked, there are *wait lists* in some areas of Michigan for ferret
adoptions. I can follow up on this - this was earlier this summer - if any
shelters think they'd like to try and move ferrets from one shelter to
another. These shelters are in the greater Metro Detroit area, btw. Also,
ECE *has* gone through much of this area, so it might not be difficult to
locate a compatible shelter.

Note: I'm not trying to take business from the breeders established in this
area. In fact, I don't think it would interfere much at all, as the people
I've talked to at the shelters very clearly have a clientele that wants to
adopt *from a shelter* in the first place.

Last i noticed, there weren't any shelters in Ann Arbor. Anyway, if you're
interested in contacting a Michigan shelter about moving ferrets between
shelters, contact me in private e-mail and let me know of your interest. It
shouldn't be too hard to coordinate.

Melissa
