5 year old Warp had three pancreatic tumors out today. That will give her
a better and longer life. There turned out to be other reasons way it was
good that Hanan went into her today. Adrenals fine, but two questionable
other things (Hey, that's what pathology is for.), with the largest
potential problem turning out to be that at some point long ago she had
apparently eaten something sharp which perforated an intestine. The hole
is closed up now, but we won't know till tomorrow if she might need a
resectioning. There was a short respiratory scare when she was intubated
but it worked out fine. She's tiny and gracile. Warpie's strongly Mommy's
little girl so I expect to have a harder than normal time concentrating at
the board meeting tonight. She came here at 6 months after TWO sequential
abusive homes, and is still somwhat leery of males -- perfectly safe and
well behaved but she becomes frightened. Will visit her today; it will be
hard to return home without her but it's essential that this approach be
used. Remember how when she came here Meltdown adopted her and took over
Warp's litter training?

Scooter is doing beautifully. Since none of them are bothering his
stitches he went in the big cage with everyone else yesterday. The
stitches come out of the paw his mother mangled on Saturday. He turned
out to be an individual prone to tissue retraction and the bones which
came out last week turned out to just have too much damage related to the
initial injuries. Luckily, the other toes his mother cropped have shown
no problems to date.
