It seems like there is not an FML that goes by without someone sharing
their loss. After loosing 6 ferrets of my own I had to ask why? Why
does this keep happening? It's not fair. This was what I came up with.

The only way I could come to terms and give myself a little bit of
comfort was in thinking that they have such short lives is so that we can
adopt/rescue other ferrets that need love & spoiling. Of course it took
me a long time to come to that analogy. But, I truly believe after
seeing one of the ferrets that I may have just adopted turn into a loving
and spoiled pet that there is purpose behind their losses. Oprah, Rosie,
Schnapps, Ben & Jerry are all living proof of that!

I have to say that ferret owners are special people, (shelter workers &
owners-outstanding, incredible, beyond words). I am starting to ramble,
but what I am saying is I have never seen a more compassionate and
outstanding group of people. So after you read this make sure you are
smiling because you have made a difference in a ferret(s) life.

God bless you all
Lisa & her 24 paws
