Don't start looking for a new ferret just yet (unless you want another
anyway.)  If it is the first case ever recorded in a ferret of that
type of cancer, it may not be completly fatal.  Diseases don't run the
same in all animals.  Even if it is going to be fatal in the long run,
you have no way to predict how long it will take.  Don't give up hoping.
