Hello all. Things have been settling down here. It's been over a month
since Merry passed away and the house just isn't the same. We talk about
her often and I made a video cd that I can play whenever I miss her. For
those of you who received one in the Valentine's Day card exchange but
couldn't open it on your computer - play it as a dvd. If you don't have
a dvd player you can use any video clip program on the computer, like
Windows Media Player. I really liked the Valentine's I received, thank
you for the wonderful, creative cards. I especially love the pictures.

I saw several posts lately asking about litter box training. When we
first brought Pippin home he would only go in the litter about 50% of the
time. What we did to solve the problem was this: Confine your ferret to
one room once you let him/her out of the cage. Once they use the litter
pan in that room you give them a treat, and then you can let them out to
the rest of the floor, or whatever the usual roaming area is. Pippin
quickly understood that if he used the litter pan he could be allowed out
of the room. Plus the treat was extra incentive. Now he hit the litter
90% of the time. We don't have to block off the one room anymore and he
is very good about the potty. He only leaves us little "presents" once
in awhile. He's been a very good boy. Good luck.

Since I've been missing Merry very much lately it's been hard to look at
the old vet bills. We decided to have a large sale on ebay this month.
We have many collectibles, action figures, Pooh beanies, etc. Even a
laser disc player. I will also be making donation from the proceeds to
a needy shelter in March (I will ask SOS for a recommendation). If you
are interested please check out this link to our store.

Hug your fuzzies tight! I'm thankful for everyday I have that my family
and ferrets are healthy and happy.
