Hi Guys,

My 2yr old siamese girl Jennifer has begun attacking my alpha girl Baby.
They have been cage mates for two years but twice this week I saw Jennifer
scream and run at Baby and bite her on the neck. She doesn't draw blood or
leave marks and she doesn't do this to any of my 3 other ferrets. She will
chase Baby from level to level and continue to scream and bite. So far
Baby is ignoring her and just running away but it isn't in Baby's nature to
keep this up. I'm afraid Baby will turn on Jennifer and do serious damage.
She didn't get to be the alpha ferret by being gentle and non agressive.

What would make Jenny suddenly behave this way? Baby has started to go into
my male Buddy's cage to sleep with him just to get away from Jennifer.
Buddy loves it because he usually doesn't have anyone in with him. He just
puts his arm around her and goes to sleep.

Anyone have any similar experience with ferrets suddenly not liking each
other after years?

Barb Stewart and all our fuzzies.
