Why? Why is 4:30 AM the optimal time to make horrible chewing, rending
noises on a crocheted eggie? Or to use the open cage door as a
springboard to practice blackflips, making a loud "SPROINGgggg" noise?
Only BART! knows why this is the time to do such things. I get up at
5:30 AM on weekdays, and I am losing one precious hour of sleep each
morning. This is WAR! My strategy at this point is focused on revenge.
At around 6:00 AM, I slowly slide the bottom dresser drawer open to
find BART! on his back, curled into a U with tiny little ferret snores
issuing forth. That is when I STRIKE, with a quick tickle to to the
exposed belly, followed by a nose pinch and completed with a little tug
to the rear leg. No, this isn't shifting the table in our battle. BART!
is still winning, but it does give me a little satisfaction to annoy
him for a change.

Lesley
