I got lots of nice messages about Weezer.  Yesterday morning was difficult,
but I am much better now.  I know it was the right thing.  I know I
couldn't have watched her struggle to stand and work to eat or drink from a
syringe one more day.  Some things still get to me, like taking the laundry
out and realizing she won't ever sleep in the hammock I made just for her,
and looking up from the couch and realizing I wouldn't see her trotting
across the office floor late at night.  I have been in a much better mood
for the most part, though, because she is not suffering and I believe in
heaven for little animals like her.  I still miss her, but I am happy for
her.  She is healthy again.
 
Thank you to everyone who sent prayers and thoughts my way.  We cried and
cried to let her go, but her body wasn't as strong as her spirit, so it
is best.  She had to get the shot in the liver because her veins were so
shrunken.  I held her and petted her and kissed her.  It was slower, and
that worried me when the vet first told me, but I was glad in the end.  She
went to sleep before her breathing and heart stopped.  She was not in pain,
yet still with me to say goodbye.  Then she was gone.  Michael and I cried
a lot at first, but we soon cheered by remembering her special ways like
running laps around the house and giving quick kisses so she would be put
down to run again.  Now we know she is at peace and happy and whole again.
We know God loves the little furry beasts.  Otherwise, He wouldn't make
them as much fun.  Thank you again.  I would reply to every fmler, but I
was really over- whelmed with responses, so I will thank you all here.
