I think we may have a problem with our little girl. Whidbey is our five yr
old silver mitt who probably weighs under a pound. She was spayed &
descented just before her first heat.

Yesterday we noticed that her vulva was very swollen. Today it is still
very swollen & there appears to be a bit of a creamy colored discharged. I
think because of this her kitty litter (the clumping kind) sticks to her a
bit, so I gently take a moist cloth to wipe her off.

She has not suffered from any hair loss, infact she still has her very soft
& luxerious winter coat. She has showed no signs of loss of appetite. Her
diet is a mixture of Iams cat food & we've recently started mixing in some
Hagen's Ferret Diet. However, I think she prefers & mostly eats Iams
Eukanuba dog chow. She also gets quite a few of her favorite treats -
bananas & pounce.

There has not been any changes in her stools either.

Her engery levels are normal & takes great pleasure in terrorizing me each
morning.

She had this same problem at the end of August & it lasted for about 2 weeks
then totally cleared up until now.

So far, other than the swollen vulva, everything appears to be normal
with her.

Could this just be caused by an irritation from her litter? Or is it a
possibility of adrenal disease or foreign object? :(

Before I hit the panic button I look forward to any help or insight that
anyone might have. Please feel free to reply directly to:
