Alexandra
EXCELLENT post on how just one bit of unfortunate wording can set off
negatives feelings in the reader.

I also cringed when I read the unintentional slight on shelters, but
for me it was this in the previous post by Eleanor:

>I have tried to talk her into opening a shelter but she feels the
>ferrets she gets have been through enough and cannot in her heart ever
>adopt out! She will NEVER give up any of the kids because she knows
>NO ONE will give them better care or love than she can.

To me, this attitude is the hallmark of a potential collector or hoarder,
and it set off alarm bells in my head. I reread the post, and the
following one, as well as the one the day before, and decided my concerns
were unwarranted.

Words are extremely powerful, so be careful how you use them! And as
Alexandra said, the careful reader should also be wary of
over-interpreting the intent of the writer.
