After coming home from the weekend away, I put my travel bag down on the
floor. The ferrets all came running to see me - so I thought. I took my
bag upstairs and put everything away. My allergy medication was not there.
My husband and I checked out the condo we were staying at before leaving.
We were both sure nothing had been left behind. I then thought that since
my medicine was in the side pocket, it must have fallen out on the way to
the car or in the car. I checked the car. No medicine.

Two days ago I read a post from someone on this list about her ferret
taking her medicine and getting sick. After reading that post, I ran
downstairs and checked several of hiding places. One place is particularly
difficult to reach. it is an empty space between the bottom drawer and the
floor of a wardrobe. The ferrets run behind there all the time and I hear
balls rolling around but cannot see or reach them. I took out the drawer
and used a malleable wand to bend under that area and move things around.
You would not believe the stuff I retrieved! The last thing I finagled out
was my Claritin-D. Fortunately the cover was still on and the bottle
undamaged.

Thank you to the person who posted about her medication being taken. I
hope your ferret is doing well and no liver damage occurs.
