Lisa's post in yesterdays FML gave me an idea.  Coupons can be sent to
shelters as a donation.  It's the same as cash to the stores where the food
is bought.  If you have a question about what types of food the shelters
use, email them.
 
Sometimes distributors will give coupons away for the asking and that could
benefit many shelters if someone wanted to take the time to find out about
this.  On the back of your bag of cat/kitten/ferret food there should be a
number to the company.  Wouldn't hurt to call and ask and maybe if they get
enough calls it will strike their interest.
