Well, I hate to jump on this bandwagon (or should I say I hate to kick
some of you off of it), but I had to state my opinion about MF.
 
I have two MF ferts and I love them dearly and wouldn't trade them for the
world.  I don't agree with how MF breeds or ships, but I sort of support
the selling to labs.  After all, how do you suppose we've gotten the
vaccines for our babies or for that matter humans?  You can't sit there and
say "don't do research on ferrets!!" and then turn around and ask "what can
I do?" when your ferret ends up sick.  Research has to be done in order to
irradicate the illnesses, or at least be able to treat them.  Also, I can't
be positive because I'm not all that familiar with the other mill breeders,
but I have a hard time believing that they don't sell to labs.  Anyways,
that's just my opinion.
