My girlfriend has young ferret (1 year old), white, male, pink eyes. Ferret
always seemed clumsy. One day discovered under couch semi-comatose. Vet
didn't know what it had. Diagnostics too costly for poor prognosis.
Possible neurological damage. Brought ferret home and force fed baby food.
Vet gave no chance. After four or five days ferret has recovered some of
previous function (50 % or less) Acts like a regular ferret for short
spurts, and a mentally damaged ferret most of the time. Ferret is no longer
improving or improving very slowly. Quality of life is OK. Ferret is OK
pet now but obviously something is wrong, probably neurologically. Or does
ferret have cancer in remission?
