To Paula Ann Edgar:

>Hi all. Are there any dangers associated with ferrets eating paper?

        Paula,

At the National Zoo, we have seen several death in black footed ferrets
as a result of eating paper. Somehow, several of the kits have gotten hold of
paper towels, and blocked themselves. Also paper can cut the esophagus on the
way down.

If your ferrets have a predilection for paper, you'll have to add it to
the list of products not to leave lying around.
