   If dogs in my area are receiving heartworm treatments, should my

   Could someone repost a full explanation of this case?  Somehow
   I came in late (and I'm sure there are others) and have gradually
   sorta pieced together their plight -- but I'd like to spread the
   word, and tell the world about this situation.  (Maybe if papers
   local to them aren't helping others around the country would.)
   However, I don't know the story well enough to retell it.
   Could someone who does, post or email an up-to-date version?
