I'm about three days behind reading my FML's so it might be a long
night...

All four carpet monkeys went for their yearly check up Wednesday and
passed with flying colors. They all got their shots and there were no
problems. So we're all happy. My oldest one Kiki (5y) was reported to
have had reactions to her vaccinations back 1999, so she hadn't had them
since then. This time we used the newer one and had no problem.

I have to say I got a little offended at a comment the vet made at first.
She was looking Kiki over and commented on how good her fur looked and
how much she had and she said that she was surprised that she hadn't
started loosing it by now and she figures she will soon enough since most
ferrets her age have adrenal problems... My thoughts are to leave well
enough alone. I don't wish bad things to happen to my patients, and
was a bit disapointed that she said this even though Kiki is in perfect
health...

Looking back I wonder if she didn't mean it the way I took it, but I was
so proud that all of them are doing well, even my girl that looks like
she has a spare innertube stuck in her belly (gained a little bit of
weight since we got her, but I'd rather see a healthy fert than a bony
one any day!) She's just fat and sassy so we're happy. I had been a bit
worried that maybe she weighed too much, but she's only 7g. Anyway...
her comment brought me down from my cloud for a minute, but with the
fuzzies I have I never have to stay down long!

Baby Zingor's paw is still healing and is still swollen a bit, but that
hasn't stopped her in the least. The vet says it'll be at least 6 weeks
for it to heal all the way.

Well, I better get to reading those FML's that I haven't read before this
one comes out!

Melissa
