I think it's great that you've started a ferret rescue.  Heck, the first
time *I* ever laid eyes on a ferret was in State College (I used to work
at Penn State).
 
At any rate, I would STRONGLY recommend that you contact Pam Grant about
joining STAR*Ferrets (Shelters That Adopt & Rescue Ferrets), and make sure
your group gets into her database.  The STAR*Ferret list is widely
distributed, and is an excellent way to help get the word out about your
rescue service.  I believe Pam subscribes to the FML, but you can also
e-mail her direct at [log in to unmask]  Her address is P.O. Box
1714, Springfield, VA 22151-0714.
 
You'll get lots of info and support from her and STAR about running a
ferret rescue as well.  Good luck!
