It's a sad day for us, we realize that our 3 fuzzies are not living life
to the fullest for them. We moved to Florida last summer and have moved
into a home with my parents. We brought our 3 with us, and invested in a
large cage (3 story with tubes and hanging sleep sacks), because we know
for a bit that they would not have as much free roam as they were used
to. Lo, and behold, we are both working 40+ hours a week, and the kids
are involved in more activities. My mom is not a ferret person, she will
pet them, not hold them, and doesn't really like them loose when she is
home. Another problem is we have numerous cats that are outdoors all
day, but in at night. (These cats don't mix well with our carpet sharks)
We dearly love our 3, but feel they would benefit from a home that would
be able to offer them tons of free roam, and people who are home much
more than us. My parents own a pizza place, and there are renovations
going on, I work for them, so I am working lots of hours. My husband is
a manager at his place of employment, and works tons also. We have come
to the decision that we need to find them a new home. We have invested a
lot in them, and cannot just give them away, but we are including the 3
ferrets, all are Marshall Farm, 1 sable-m approx. 2 yrs. 4 mo. current
on shots and very loving (he is the alpha of the group), 1 cinnamon-f
approx. 1 yr. 6 mo. current on distemper, needing rabies booster, 1 (I
think he is a sable, he's different than the other though) m approx. 2
rs 4 mo. due in Sept. for rabies and distemper boosters. There is a 3
story cage, approx. 5' x 2 1/2' on rollers w/ 4 doors to access
everywhere, movable shelves, ladders and tubes. 2 corner litter pans, 2
water bottles, 3 bell balls, 2 hanging cubbies, and we also have 3 other
cages of different sizes that we have been storing in case one was sick
and needed to be by themselves. The cage was bought at Pet Smart for
approx. $280.00, we would like to sell all of the abouve mentioned,
(including the fuzzies) for $300.00. We are willing to negotiate to
make sure they get a good loving home, and a forever home. We are very
upset to have to do this, but I don't want to surrender them to a shelter
either. We do love them, but feel this is best for them. They are our
first concern. Please no flames for this, it is hard enough for us. We
have had all of them since they were approx. 8 weeks old. Anyone
interested can email us privately at [log in to unmask] We are
located in Jacksonville, FL, about 10 mins. from Jax beach.
