Could I get the vets' opinions on the use of Lysodren for treatment of
non-operable adrenal tumors?

Lizzie is a 7 YO female who had a slightly swollen vulva; ultrasound
revealed adrenal tumors. The vet (Dr. Kendrick) removed the left adrenal
and its tumor, and debulked the right adrenal tumor, but was unable to
remove it completely because it had engulfed the vena cava. The biopsies
showed non-cancerous tumors for both glands. Dr. Kendrick recommends
another ultrasound in a few months to see if the remaining tumor is
regrowing, and if so, Lysodren therapy.

I am confused by a post last month mentioning that Lysodren can kill an
adrenal gland. If so, I would not want to destroy the only remaning
adrenal. Is Lysodren safe? Effective at reducing tumor growth? Does it
have side effects?

Thanks,
