I posted about a week ago about my 2.5 year old MFF, Ronnie, that has blood
in his urine and I asked for some advice.

Thanks to those that answered, particularly Troy Lynn and Dr. Williams.
Troy Lynn, thanks for the input about Insulinoma and the diet you feed your
little ones.

Here's an update. Ronnie's been on antibiotic for three weeks now and no
improvement at all. Last week the vet tried to culture his urine TWICE and
nothing would grow. The vet also did a contrast study on his bladder and
nothing. The vet says the next step is to take him off the antibiotic for
a few days and try culturing his urine again. I'm VERY worried about
Ronnie, although he seems fine (playing and rough-housing as usual).
Please, does the vet sound right? Can there be anything else wrong with
him? Are bladder infections often so difficult to cure (if this is what
he's got)? And if this goes on much more can he get REALLY sick and go
into some type of renal failure?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

     Jennifer (an extremely worried mom)
