Huh? Out of all the FAQs that I have read over the past 7 years, I
haven't read that fact. Where did you get your information? I've had
one particular ferret that has reacted three times - either distemper
(Galaxy-D) or rabies (Imrab-3) vax. The third time, we did pre-treat
with Benadryl.

From what I have recently read on the FML from an experienced shelter mom,
it is recommended to pre-treat and WAIT for 30 minutes for the med to kick
in before vaccinating.

Please remember to separate the distemper and rabies vax by two weeks and
do not vaccinate a sick ferret (general/unknown illness or with cancer).

If anyone would like a "Do's and Don'ts" on vaccinating a ferret one page
flier/handout, please email me at [log in to unmask]
