Was in a reading mood couple days ago, so went looking for a fantasy book
with dragons and magic and a happy ending. stop at 3 chapters bookstore
before coming across this one call "the last dragonlord" by joanne bertin.
I was contemplating whether to get it or not when I look at the inside
cover and saw a picture of the author --- with her ferret. That did it.
The book was great, no actual ferrets characters, but 2 references to a
ferret. If you like McCaffrey's Pern series you will probably like this.
Think I'm not the only one here who will buy a book because the author's
photo had her ferret (cute ferret too, but then all ferrets are cute).

Just curious if anybody here feed their ferrets homemade4life. I followed
a link on the fml and checked out the food a few months ago, like what I
saw, and since then, my ferrets have been getting it almost every night.
I'm just curious about the differences between raw and cooked food, since
there is this study (Pottenger's cats from the 70's) that suggests cats do
much better on a raw meat diet. I feed the ferrets homemade4life raw, and
they really like it. Birch filled out a bit since I started feeding them
that, but it might not be food related. The kibble they get is TF and
Sensible Choice kitten.

Here's the info for homemade4life:

I have only fed them the chicken recipe, I think the lamb is fairly new
(couple of months, at most).

Also picked up a nutrition booklet at Petsmart over the weekend. They had
some thing about extruded kibble and oven baked kibble, with oven baked
being better. Does anybody know anything about this?

thanx. have a warm and fuzzy day.
