My ferret came from Marshall Farms and I wanted some paper work on my
ferret, such as.... birthdate, shots, parents, etc. In my search for
the phone number and residence itself, I found out some information.
Any help or information you can give me would be of help...

I asked the pet store where I bought my ferret, the address (at the
time, I didn't even know it was a Marshall Farms ferret). The address
was as follows:

N.F.R.S.
P.O. Box 91
North Rose, NY 14516

I was looking for a phone number to this place, which the pet store
told me was "high security" because it had been raided by animal rights
activists. So I looked in the yellow pages under "Animals-Laboratory
Use". Lo and behold, I found their phone number: 315/587-4485 (Sales
Office: 315/587-2295) They told me that they breed ferrets, but will
not sell unless they are neutered. (I was looking for unneutered for
possible breeding.) When I asked them for information on the
"guarentee" they just told me that the only shot the ferret gets before
leaving is a distemper shot. The receptionist gave me another number
for the "guarentee" information: 315/594-1760 (No Answer) She also
told me that they only sell to distributors, and gave me the number of
the Rochester, NY distributor: A.D.D. 716/254-4470. When I called
him, he was VERY unhelpful too. "We only sell to pet stores, and in
bulk quantities." So, how else can I go about getting information on
my ferret? How can I find a local breeder? I've checked vets, but to
no avail. Once again, any info. will be helpful...
