Hi all--
I had a really similar experience with a ferret freaking out over some vinyl
clothing just yesterday.  I was wearing, ahem, black vinyl snake skin print
pants (plython, I call 'em) (well, I was on my way to the Montreal Fringe
Festival, so it was suitable attire), and Amelia went all puffy and slowly
wagged her tail at me.  I picked her up and let her check them out and she
calmed down.  Maybe it's something in the smell of vinyl?  Or maybe she was
channelling my mom ;-)
