The only airline that allows ferrets in the cabin with you is Delta
airlines. It is $75.00 each way and is to be paid in cash when you
arrive and depart. You have to call Delta directly and book your carrier
(you can still book your ticket online, but the carriers have to be done
over the phone). You can only take 1 carrier per person and it is
considered your carryon. It is stowed under your seat. They have
dimensions that your carrier needs to be, and you can find most airline
approved carriers at Petco or Petsmart. They have a maximum of 2
carriers per flight, so first come first serve. Baltimore is one of the
worst airports to go through with your pets. They make you go in this
private security room and they really inspect your carrier and your pet.
It is very disappointing. The security personnel look at you like you
are an alien for bringing a ferret on board and no one wants to touch
them. They put on gloves and pat the ferret down. In addition, you
also go through a screening. Oh well, the price we pay for taking our
ferrets travelling with us.

Hope this helps,
