Mr. Lipinski was opposed to a book showing ferrets and badgers as friends.
Even though I've never read any of the Redwall series, my middle school-aged
daughter & her friends L-O-V-E them. This is not a scientific text; it is a
Medieval fairy tale series. I don't think my daughter is about to bring
home a badger or a mouse to befriend our ferret.

Walt Disney introduced us to a Mouse (Mickey) who has a pet dog (Pluto) and
a duck (Donald) as his best friend. In the 50 or so years since their
arrival on the scene, do you think people are bringing home mice to walk
their dogs?

And why are you assuming that Chris Berry is a Mr?

And, as long as I'm writing, the teacher in me will ask the people writing
about angels to proof-read and not refer to them as 'angles?' although, I
admit to chuckling every time I read about ferret angles!!

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
