I have four ferrets, Laura, Lou, Linus and Lilly. Back in June, we bought
Lilly after Linda died. Laura and Lou didn't want her around and where
very clear in displaying their dislike of this intruder. Linus, on the
other hand, seemed to get along with her. Don't get me wrong, they weren't
best friends or anything. We kept Lilly seperated from the others for her
own safety and thought that as she got bigger she would be able to defend
herself better. We were wrong.

Linus, has recently marking EVERYTHING!! He pees on my socks, my shoulder
when I'm petting him, a friend's shoe, carpeting, linoleum, the sewing
machine pedal. I'm about ready to put a little clothes pin on him. I've
tried giving him twice the attention, praising him when he goes in the box,
ignoring the mistakes, putting him back in the cage when he's bad, and
cleaning the carpet. Half the time we don't even know where he's gone, but
his belly is covered with pee.

I jokingly asked my vet if I could get him cauterized. He didn't think it
was a wise choice.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to integrate Lilly into the pack or how
to dry up Linus, I'd greatly appreciate it.

By the way I enjoy reading this stuff. I'm glad all of you are out there.
