I just wanted to let everyone know that I told Donna about the symposium
months ago. i never heard from her asking about it and attending it. I
also am very confused about something, i talked to Donna on the phone a
few nights ago, after her post on the FML. I asked her about the
statement she made about not taking in anymore ferrets, and she said that
she just couln't do it anymore.

I do understand, many times I have felt the same way.

So you say you want to be recoganized as a shelter, thats ok but are you
still taking in ferrets or not?

I'm sure other people on the FML may be confused about this also.

Also along with getting 15 minutes of fame, as Donna put it, comes taking
in bunches of ferrets, getting your shelter so overloaded that you don't
have time to breathe. Vet bills and expenses like you would never
believe. running a large shelter is not fun and games, its hard work,
not just dealing with the ferrets, but getting out and having yard sales
in the freezing cold or 110 degree heat just to pay vet bills.

Being available to pick up ferrrets no matter what time it is or where it
is. Its a lot of things to do, to do it right.
