Hi.  Just a quick note on fleas: you are best off going to the vet and
getting something like Advantage to combat the fleas.  Don't use otc
products-the vast majority of them are very poisonous to cats, let alone
ferrets.  We just had a cat come in balding, drooling and with horrible
skin from Hartx flea drops.  Most otc remedies have pyrethrin in them,
which is very toxic.  This is also found in most flea and tick collars
(very bad), powders and sprays, even kittne safe ones.
 
Advantage for kittens can be dosed out for ferrets (0.1ml per fert) and
may be more expensive, but is certainly cheaper than poisoning your fuzzy
friend.
