Yesterday when my hubby Ben went to get the kids out he found Casper
almost dead. She had peed on herself, and as he picked her up she peed
on him. We cleaned her up and tried to give her meds, water and food.
No luck she would even take ferretvite or ferretone. I had to feel her
tummy to see if she was breathing. So we held her until it was time to
go to bed.

When I went to put her to bed I laid her on the cage floor and moved
Smokey and Sassy from the hammy and put them in the blanket with her.
She was so cold, but to weak to shiver. I thought she wouldn't make it
until dawn. At one am I checked on her. She was still with us. But not
only was Smokey and Sassy with her in the blanket but Trooper and Bubba
had moved in with them. Now I have 5 different places for them to sleep.
But for them to all come in and sleep with her and keep her warm showed
such love! This morning she took water, got up and went in to the litter
box. and took some food. She was not stable and everything took forever
for her to do but she was so different from last night. I think it was
the ferret love that kept her alive. How long will that keep her I don't
know, but it sure was powerful last night.
