After some private mails we're still trying to find out more about the
specifics, so I have written to ferret specialist veterinary pathologist,
Bruce Williams. Aside from a ferret specialist veterinary nephrologist
he's likely the single best specialist to ask. It's a busy time of year,
but we'll all learn (me included) no matter what he says when he gets a
chance to answer these questions.

I've got an infection on a foot so I need to wear socks over the bandage
to keep the ferrets away. This is a major problem for Ashling who is the
true owner of all of the socks which I wear. We have hit a compromise.
She sniffs my feet and lets me keep a sock on the infected one -- but
ONLY the infected one. Hey, whatever -- halfway -- works.

Sevie is still around. She over-did it yesterday: bouncing and playing
well, so today was a day when she was tired and also needed injected
Lasix as well as the rest of her oral meds and oral Lasix. Still, she is
alive longer than ever expected, she is having fun, and once again --
whatever works...
