Hello again,
Just a note asking you to find my lil' girl?
 
She didn't know anyone there but left us yesterday,in the VERY BEST of
company..a very ill Oregon City Ferret Shelter girl and Tahoe Tracy's
sweet baby Arranze...
 
It was a very very tough day for Dr Alice Davis yesterday.She is and
always will remain our Hero...Bless you Alice..
 
Matty came home last August with her darlin' hubby Mikey from spending a
few years at the O.C.  Shelter.She was always a sweet patient lil german
girl who had many health problems.When we took her home both adrenals had
already been removed and regulating her potassium levels were impossible.
During some recent bloodwork sent to Dr Williams about her early kidney
failure,we saw that her BG was 50 so every week we checked & every week
her pred dosage was increased.This caused dehydration & how we both hated
those sub/Q sessions..(Bless you our sweet Dr Broda,Lakewood,Wa)
 
She had developed a large mammory tumor.Upon aspiration they suggested
deep incision..now what?  Matty seemed not a surgical candidate.We were
in a crisis mode.Bruce helped us decide that Matty needed surgery.Get
in & get out.
 
We found the BEST Vet in our area (imho) and i drove the 3 hrs.Bless
you Chris Mathis/Shelter mom for taking us in & making sure i wasn't
alone..:)
 
We had decided to let Matty go free if in fact there was anything bad in
her tummy..
 
Sadly there was;(
 
A mass had grown & invaded her stomach almost blocking her bowel...her
bile ducts had dilated and were causing all this mess,in actuality there
was no insulinoma per say..there was no quality before,now we knew we
must say sadly good/bye:(
 
Goodbye our little Love.Daddy and your hubby Mikey are also filled with
an emptiness that only other ferret lovers can truly understand..Lisa
mimicked my thoughts well...
 
Ferrets do not just get into your heart,they invade your soul..  She
was our daughter.  She leaves 8 siblings she never met as her illness
prompted separate play times.(if you can call it that) We will be
watching Mikey very carefully as Matty was his Love,other ferrets
make him vomit..(literally)
 
Play on my baby,now free from all that awful pain... Bruiser,Pepto,Gizmo,
Bootsie & MoJo await you,tho you never met you will be joining them in
mommy and daddys Everlasting Memory and we know we will meet once
again....
 
We miss you beyond words...
