Thanks for the replies to my search for the "packrat" meaning.  I must
admit, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't some obscure historical
connection to ferrets.  Oh well...Do you think that these rats might be
F.L.O. operatives?
 
Ferret bonding; I'm not so sure I'd want my ferrets bonded.  Where I live,
it quite often means they can also carry guns.  Unless they're being bailed
out of jail, then by all means, bond them!  OK, seriously..  When I bring a
new fert into the family, I'll only let them have treats when I'm holding
them, and will continue to hold and pet and cuddle and talk to them for a
minute or so after the treat is gone.  This has worked well with the babies
I've bought as well as the adults I've adopted.
 
I think I need a nap...
