I should have known I couldn't resist.....

As per Mr. Lipinskis` post..... I do have some knowledge of the use of
polygraphs. It is much easier to fail than many people would assume. They
are too easily influenced by the phrasing of the question. Take for example
this fictitious scenario.

Question; Did Lance Seurer slaughter your ferrets?
Response; Yes!

In my understanding of what allegedly took place, the above response would
indicate deceit. The owner of the ferrets was not on the premisis when the
crime took place, therefore cannot state positively this fact, no matter how
much they believe it to be true.

Completely different phrasing of the same question can also completely
change the polygraph results.

As none of us are "in the loop" of the investigation, I feel it's premature
to do an about-face. It's my understanding that two test were given and two
tests were failed. If Jeanne were guilty of this crime it would seem she
wouldn't have voluntarily taken the first test let alone a second.

It's also my understanding that the funds which were donated went directly
to the veterinary clinic where the ferrets were treated. I believe this was
verified by a letter from the treating vet which was posted to this list.
There are people on this list who I believe were involved with coordination
efforts in the aftermath, they would be better able to clarify how donations
were distributed.

One thing to remember is; Ferrets were killed and others were horribly
injured. I would like to think the response of the ferret community would
have been the same regardless of who committed the crime.
