    Michelle - My boy Taz is deaf, as is Kelleen's boy Lightstar {as was
Racy before her passing:( }.  They get along rather well despite this
handicap.  In fact, they are the lovingest ferrets either of us have.  You
can't expect them to come to a squeeky, and yelling "no" doesn't always work
if you aren't where they can see you, but kisses are always available:) The
best tests for deafness I have seen vets use is - don't let the ferret see
you and make a sudden loud noise.  If they don't respond, they are most
likely deaf.
