I'm a newbie to owning a ferret and luckily stumbled upon this list. It
has been great to read everyones experiences, ideas and suggestions, and
has been a great source of knowledge we had no clue how to take care of
a fuzzzie. We recently adoped by accident our first fuzzie, one of our
teenage daughters works in a pet store and of course has a soft heart so
we have had lots of new pets. Well, when she turned 18 she moved out
with 4 other room mates and is unable to keep Sadie who is a red eyed
albino. So naturally being the parents we assumed care of Sadie. We
were immediately impressed by the personality of this ferret, she was
so loving, and wanted to be with you all the time. Sadie was dropped at
the pet store by a gentleman who could no longer care for her and had
been raised with cats, so she took to our 3 cats wonderfully and she has
become a new member of our clan. Of course now we have the bug and want
to add a playmate...lol. As I type this she and the cats are racing
around the house attacking each other and my feet!...lol.

Thanks to all for the wonderful post.
Elisa
