I'm looking into becoming a ferret owner, it will be my first time and
although i've had every other pet i can think of i'd like a little advice.
Here are my two questions: ONE: male or female? i will be getting my
companion fixed, so i'm not really that concerned but does anyone have an
opinion? TWO: one or two? i want to get one so that i can really bond
with it and get to know it, but i'm concerned that it might be lonely... i
plan to spend all my time with it, but some animals just do better with a
friend. Do they do okay being an only-ferret? thanks a lot for your
imput!

(also, can anyone recommend a breeder in the NY or MASS area?)

thanks a ton!
