-> And yes, I have a problem I'd like advice on, too. Just recently, Pix has
-> begun digging at the carpeting at the base of a sliding closet door,
 scratching
-> it nearly to bits. We tried opening the closet door so she could go in and
-> explore (after 'proofing it, of course), but since it's a sliding door
 there's
-> still a whole area she can't get under. Any suggestions on how to stop this
-> habit before out landlord has a fit? Bitter Apple hasn't done much.

Have you tried consistent discipline? It's amazing what some hard nose thumps
and yelling "no" will do. We've trained our ferrets to leave the couch alone
that way.

well, the blanket and clorox theories are one-for-one. i cleaned out their
room this morning, cloroxed the corner that should be empty, and after it
dried, i wadded up a couple of rugs and stuffed them back there. after i
had placed the ferrets back in their room, THEY BOTH WENT TO THE RIGHT PLACE!!
i can hardly believe it. of course, this little dance may be too soon. i'll
keep you posted. thanks, guys. i owe you one.
