  It seems to me that a lot of the symptoms you've described are indicative of
adrenal disease, which is an extremely common problem in ferrets. I think quite
often blood tests won't show anything, and enlarged adrenal glands are hard to
see, even with an ultrasound.  I don't know how far you are from Virginia, but
if you don't have a good ferret vet nearby, Dr. Kawasaki is a specialist in
