The Ferret F.A.I.R.  in Westchester, IL (near Chicago) has had a bumper crop
of orphaned ferrets in search of good homes this summer!  All our ferrets
are neutered/spayed, vet-checked, and vaccinated for distemper and rabies.
They have also been exposed to the ECE virus, so we do not advise people
with ferrets more than a year old that have not been exposed to this virus
to adopt from our shelter.  Please call Mary van Dahm at (708) 681-3181 if
you are thinking about a new addition to your family.
 
Here is a brief description of ferrets currently ready for adoption:
 
Cleo -- female/black sable/1-1/2 yrs old.  A very pretty little imp!  Likes
cats.
 
Willie and Wiley -- males/black sables/7 months old.  A couple of wild and
crazy guys.  They love to play and interact with people.
 
Felix -- male/black sable/1-1/3 yrs old.  A very sweet little guy.  His
parents moved to California.
 
Klepta and Khan -- Klepta is a female hooded chocolate and Khan is a male
regular chocolate.  They are both 5 months old and simply adorable.  Very
calm and gentle for their age.
 
Levon -- male/black sable/1-1/3 yrs old (est.).  Very dark, slender, and
handsome.
 
Mr. Baggins -- male/sable/3-1/4 yrs old (est.). OK with most ferrets.
 
Oliver -- male/black sable/1 yr old. A real sweetie!  He was rescued from a
life of neglect and appreciates all the love and attention you can give him.
 
Grover and Victoria -- Grover is a 5 month old male sable and Victoria is a
1  month old female chocolate.  Both are playful and very friendly.
 
Stormy -- male/black sable/4 months old. A lively, good-natured little guy.
Likes other ferrets.
 
Carla -- female/siamese/1 yr old (est.).  A very sweet little girl.  She was
found in the street covered with bruises, but she never complained while she
was being treated.  She deserves a very loving home.
 
S/eedy/Ozzy/Milo -- It's hard to find a home for three ferrets together, but
these three get along so well that we'd hate to split them up.  Speedy is a
female/siamese/1 yr old; Ozzy is a male/albino/2 yrs old; and Milo is a
male/ sable/3 yrs old.  All three are sweethearts.
 
Daniel -- male/albino/1 yr old. A very handsome fellow.  Very gentle. Likes
dogs and cats.
 
That's it for now, but we have at least a dozen more little ones that came
in during the last week or so who should be ready for adoption soon!  We
also have a couple of red-haired guinea pigs (Penny and her boyfriend --
recently neutered), some hamsters, and several lovely little mice.  By the
