Hi all, I was wondering if someone could help me with finding out more
information on how to help my 8 yr old female with recently diagnosed
kidney disease. She may also have other health issues as well, but vet
just does not know. Blood work indicated kidney failure. What are the
clinical signs? Treatment? Diet? She is also very anemic and vet said
it was caused by (I thought he said kidney?) Maybe bleeding due to
hairbal tossing around in her stomach? Some tooth grinding. He said
that there was blood in her stool? I have not noticed this and have
experience with the obviously dark, tarry stool. I was thinking of
testing it myself with one of those home kits. We have used them in the
past. Still major symptom is excessive itchiness and grooming??! I
guess all her level were elivated: BUN, creatinine, phosphorus was 11.5
and blood protien was low. I do not have copy of blood work, but will
soon I hope. any help would be so very appreciated!

Thanks,
Kelly
