Morning all,
I saw the post about kittens and ferrets. A word of warning...Don't allow
a ferret near newborn kittens. We had a litter of newborn kittens(about 1
1/2 weeks old) and our ferret got into the bathroom while we were outside
doing yard work. When we heard the screaming from the kittens, we ran
inside to find our Nipper in the box with the babies. Unfortunatly, we
were too late to save one of the babies. There were a couple more that we
rushed to the vet and were able to save. Nipper wasn't being mean, she was
just being a ferret. In a matter of just a couple of minutes tho, she was
able to kill one kitten and hurt two more. Nipper was only about 6 months
old when she did this. She must have mistaken the kittens for rats and did
what any ferret would do. So..just a word of warning....please keep
kittens and ferrets seperated till the kittens are older.

Dooks to all and special prayers for all the sick fuzzies.

pat l.
