You might give some consideration to this:

Your new ferret "Bouncer" will likely get bolder and bolder as gets to
know you a little better each day and conversely, you him.

May I suggest the name "Bolder" since that's the English meaning of your
German name: Feldspars.

However, the real meaning of your name is like a really large rock in a
field, such as a boulder. So therefore your ferret could be named
"Boulder", for that is the true meaning of your name.

Whadaya tink? Does "Boulder" do it for you. Ach, ja, ja.
