Steve wondered about feeding Marshall's and also about feeding a variety.

When I first had ferrets (about 10 years ago) they came to me eating
Marshall's. Many people on the FML at that time recommended Totally
Ferret. After I slowly made the change, I noticed that their poops,
while normal looking, were smaller and a lot less smelly. Also, at
that time, Marshall food had a rather offensive odor. Perhaps there
have been changes since then.

Regarding food variety, I am reading that a lot of people mix high
quality foods. It seems like a "Why not" situation to me. They get
good food, the opportunity to choose, and exposure to other foods.
Seems like a good idea in the event that one food goes out of production
or is difficult to find.
