Just to add to what Jim said, the shelter is called Obidiah's and it's run
by Pat Nothnagle, phone 716-637-4589.  Last I talked to her she was up to
about 60 ferrets but there's actually only a few ferrets she would let out
to good homes since many of them she's taken in from abusive or abandoned
homes.  She's also very selective as to who she'll adopt out to.  She's
helped me out countless times with advice and help for my fuzzies and I'm
very grateful.
