Amy Flemming and Sukie Crandel seem to have a lot of anecdotal data
concerning longevity and health effects of Waardenburg Syndrome, Kitt
and like genes that affect coloration of a ferret (that make the
lightened colors, blazes, pandas, etc). They may know. I think I
recall, conversations on here and the genetic ferret list about eye site
problems in late adulthood in blazes and pandas, but I forget. I hope
they or someone else that knows might answer.
