Natural Gold looks to be a very good food. It is very low in
carbohydrates compared to other ferret kibbles, and is high in
nucleotides, which have been shown to boost the immune system in other
species. It is designed to match the protein/fat composition of mice.

Of course the proof is in the eating! The food has only been on the
market for a couple months, which is too recent for there to be much
feedback on how well it seems to work. It has an unusual odor, and my
own ferrets do not like it very much. They will only eat it if it is the
last thing in the bowl or if it is blended into their chicken gravy. :-)

As with any new food, be careful to add it slowly to their other foods to
prevent upset tummies and diarrhea.
