If you have true sliding doors, you could put a piece of wood on the other
side to block the front door from sliding open.  (like they do for security
bars on sliding glass doors) I've never been able to change a ferret's mind
when they've gotten determined to get into something ... you can put
plastic runner on the carpet if they're digging at that, but I haven't
found any way to derail a determined fuzzy!  You might also try some hook &
eyelet style latches ... maybe one down low to resist the Fuzzy Force :)
